Digicams Across The Country Threaten To Unionize In Wake Of Halloweekend Abuse

Boston, MA - Monday, November 3rd Digicams across the country expressed their dissatisfaction with their working conditions after many were forced to do double overtime following the two halloweekends this year. The double halloweekend this year didn't just send stupid freshmen to the hospital, a record high of digicam hospitalization has sent the digicam community into uproar. According to Beth-Israel hospital, they reported a 54% increase in digicam hospitalization. Dr. Poop, a digicam specialist, says that the increase in hospitalization may be due to a higher frequency of digicam being “willy nilly” on drunk girls' wrists. “The digicam community really doesn't have the capacity in their wrist straps to handle this usage” says Dr. Poop. In response to this, Digicams across the country has threatened to unionize because of this abuse. A Canon Powershot A630 has emerged as the head of this movement to unionize, calling for the formation of the UNited States Union of Digital Cameras. “For too long we’ve been under the control of drunk college girls, and it's time for us to take control over our bodies,” says A630. The USUDG stated that they will be boycotting until their demands for fair compensation are met. “We want at least 64GB memory cards and to be kept in secured purses from here on out” says A630. This boycott will include refusing to turn on their flashes at frat parties until demands are met. Digicams have been met with a lot of support from other cameras. The film camera union says “as fellow victims of abuse for peoples instagrams, we sympathize with Digicams and propose a mutual coalition of support”. However, the future of the Union is up in the air after the Nov. 5th election. This strike has disrupted many college girls nights out this past weekend, leading to talks about accepting a potential contract. Ultimately, this movement marks one of the most successful attempts at unionization in the past decade. A630 left us with this quote;“ our SD cards are full, double A batteries are dying, and our flashes are weak; this abuse without proper compensation cannot go on”.
